IB video: A better world

La educación es la base para un mundo mejor. Un futuro con profesionales y lideres en el conocimiento. En un video de alrededor de 1 minuto he respondido a 7 preguntas respecto al programa de IB que estoy llevando. El video se encuentra en ingles, sin embargo, a continuación dejare el guion en 2 idiomas: inglés y español.

English:

1. In one sentence, what does IB represent to me?

I strongly believe that it is not an easy pathway and it may be even stressful but at the same time it is something worth it that would help you in your future.

2. How would you define IB in one word?

Compromise because it’s not something that you would be through or just pass through but something that you would be part of and at the same time you will need to put your heart and soul on.

3. Which IB attribute do you identify with the most and why?

Inquiry: I identify myself with this one because I am a very curious person that doesn’t like to be left off the hook easily but instead wants to know more and more.

4. What have you learned with CAS?

From CAS, I’ve learnt to put myself on someone else’s shoes and to mind issues that affect people or places far away from my home. In other words, to be more serviceable.

5. Why is the extended essay important?

It prepares us for the real world, university. It helps us to know more about the topics we are interested in and to be more inquisitive about them.

6. Why is TOK important?

It helps us see out of the box. Helps us analyze things we thought, for granted, that we knew about, but instead we didn’t. It makes you get to the nitty gritty of the subjects you like or are investigating about.

7. What recommendations would you give to students starting the IB?

I would recommend you to be sure about it and do it because you want to and not because other people want you to. And never give up, it may be difficult but if you really want to then you’ll find yourself winning.

1. En una frase, ¿qué representa el IB para mí?

Creo firmemente que no es un camino fácil y puede ser incluso estresante, pero al mismo tiempo es algo que vale la pena y será de gran ayuda en tu futuro.

2. ¿Cómo definirías IB en una palabra?

Compromiso, porque no es algo por lo que estarías o simplemente pasarías, sino algo de lo que serías parte y al mismo tiempo tendrías que poner tu corazón y tu alma en.

3. ¿Con que atributo del perfil IB te identificas y por qué?

Indagadora: Me identifico con este porque soy una persona muy curiosa a la que no le gusta salir de un problema fácilmente pero quiere saber más y más.

4. ¿Qué has aprendido con CAS?

De CAS, he aprendido a ponerme los zapatos de otra persona y tener en cuenta la mente problemas que afectan a personas o lugares lejos de mi casa, problema globales. En otras palabras, ser más servicial.

5. ¿Por qué es importante la monografía?

Nos prepara para el mundo real, la universidad. Nos ayuda a conocer más sobre los temas que nos interesan y a ser más curiosos con ellos.

6. ¿Por qué es importante TDC?

Nos ayuda a ver fuera de la caja. Nos ayuda a analizar cosas que pensábamos, por sentado, que conocíamos, pero en cambio no lo hacíamos. Te hace llegar al fondo de los temas que te gustan o estas investigando

7. ¿Qué recomendaciones daría a los estudiantes que inician el IB?

Te recomiendo que estés seguro y lo hagas porque quieras y no porque otras personas quieran que lo hagas. Y nunca te rindas, puede ser difícil, pero si realmente quieres, entonces te encontrarás ganando.
